SUPPORT MINNESOTA JUNIOR CURLING AT YOUR CLUB

Introducing the USCA “Kids Rock” Donation Program

This new program is a great way to raise money for Junior Curling programs at your club and support all of the junior curling programs at the MCA and USCA.

The KIDS ROCK! Donation / pin program is an essential part of the success of the USCA and MCA at National and World events because of its focus on the junior programs in the United States.  With the emergence of former and current juniors to an international level, it is becoming more obvious how essential junior programs are to growing and encouraging the success of curling in the US.

The KIDS ROCK! campaign will provide funding to youth curling programs at all levels to every club that contributes.  If your club has a youth program, the youth participants can be asked to seek donations and offer the special kids rock pin throughout the community.  If your club does not have a youth program, this is an excellent opportunity to get the word out to the community and gain some funds to begin one.  Once your club has contributed $100 of donations, 25% of all your contributions get returned to your club for youth activities.  The balance of your donations is used by USA Curling to provide you with necessary aides, camps and instruction, organizational material and support.

In addition to the special kids rock pins, there are also three levels of metal KIDS ROCK! pins available both singly and as a collection.  The complete set of four pins, ideal recognition of a team’s contribution, is available for a donation of just $250.  Individually, the gold pin is $160, silver $80 and bronze $40.  If your club contributes $4,000 to the donation/pin program, you will be awarded a grant of an additional $400. Every person who donates to the cause receives at least one awesome “Kids Rock!” pin. With a minimum donation of $10.00, this is an easy way to get involved with the most important part of our curling future – the kids!

Please post the enclosed flyer at your club and be sure to mention to your club members the importance of donating for youth curling.  Continuing the sport through our youth curling is the most effective way to ensure that curling continues growing in the United States.  I will be calling each club president in the next week to ensure that you received this information and are informing your members.

Thank you for your help in promoting this vital project and be sure to thank your members for their support as well!
